It explores philosophical concepts including existentialism, existential ennui, and loneliness. The series also offer one of the best soundtracks.

#3. Baccano!

Baccano! Is a series set in a fictional United States. The anime initially seems confusing as it shows a series of different stories with different viewpoints that seem unrelated. It focuses on various people, including alchemists, thieves, thugs, Mafiosi and Camorristi, who are unconnected to one another. After an immortality elixir is recreated in 1930 Manhattan, the characters begin to cross paths, setting off events that spiral further and further out of control. it is very satisfying to finally watch every piece of the puzzle come together as the scenes finally start to make sense. It’s unique story progression makes the anime one of a kind.

#2. Code Geass

Set in an alternate timeline, the series focuses on how the former prince Lelouch vi Britannia obtains a power known as Geass which gives Lelouch the ability to control anyone by direct eye contact. Lelouch uses this power to avenge his mother’s death and to obliterate the Holy Britannian Empire, a superpower that has been conquering various countries. In the process, Lelouch becomes Zero, a masked vigilante and the leader of the resistance movement known as The Black Knights. However, this does not come without a cost. Caught up in a conflict where he does not know the full extent of his powers, Lelouch will have to battle Suzaku, a resistance member named Kallen Stadtfeld, the strongest army in the world, his own half-siblings, and many others in a battle that will forever change the world.

#1. Death Note

The story’s protagonist Light Yagami is an above average high school boy who finds a book called the Death Note which belongs to a Shinigami (good of death) Ryuk. This book gives Light the ability to kill anyone whose name he writes in the book. Light as to face L who is a topmost detective who sets to find him. It is an amazingly written anime that has two of the most intelligent anime characters ever. It is very interesting to watch Light play with the rules of the Death Note and discover just how powerful it is. The anime contains a thread of interesting characters and unpredictable plot twist. The confusing plot will definitely keep you on the edge of your seats.
